I am trying to reformat my hard drive and computer so that it goes back to the day I opened my computer up, Because I have seemed to been hit by a virus or spyware that isnt being quarintined. I know its on my computer because I saw an alert saying it hit me but Its not popping up in scans. So i want to return it to the state I got it when i first turned it on. My computer already has a drive on it that is used for recovery. So I dont have to worry about a boot disk or anything. I remember that I reinstalled and formatted my hard drive back to factory settings a while back but I forgot how I did it. Any help please?

Razor you'll need to provide us with the type of computer system that you have. You're not looking to do a full format you're looking to do a PC restore. It will reimage your drive with an existing image that is saved on a hidden partition. If you just format your drive via Junk's link then you'll lose the ability to use this backup partition in the future.

Click the link in my signature for the technical chat and either myself or deathmane will walk you through the process :).

ya inless there is a hidden disk image stored for a restore you cant go back to how it was when you got it so if you format you would need your operating system disk to reinstall the OS and your drivers
