Film footage for game

Does anyone know which film footage is best for filming gaming. I used fraps before and also use xfire. Every time I am on Vent it never picks up my voice at all.

You can use a voice recorder in conjuction with those programs then in the editing stage edit them to fit correctly before final production.

As for a specific program I do not know, sorry.

A couple questions:

• Does your Ventrilo work when you are not recording video with Fraps?
• There should be a setting to have Fraps pick up a couple audio inputs. What have you tried?

I'm not too familiar with video capture software, but from Fraps' description page it looks like it will either capture "What you hear" or whatever audio input you choose.

Either try a separate voice recorder like REpear suggests or try an audio mixer. Not sure what exists for the latter though.

The problem with FRAPS btw (if it's working lol) if you recording sound with FRAPS, the video take too much size it's crazy.

You you plan to add mp3 (music, voice message) mix your video and the mp3 with MS Movie maker it's free and doing the job.

Use source in-game recorder for source games, anything else use fraps.

For editing, use the above mentioned programs, and if you're willing to spend some money, Sony Vegas or stuff like that.
