They both fail!!!! Jerking is nothing more than adding a few new moves to breakdancing/toprocking and skanking is just what we used to call non dancing no rhythm fools.

I must be really old or out of touch with the cool trends, but I have never heard of either of so call dances.

Skanking is a dance that has evolved since the early forms of ska. So its been around since the 50's-ish. It began to look like it does today in the early to mid 90's in the third ska wave.


Yes, you need little to no rhythm to do it, which makes it easy and fun , which in my mind is what dancing is all about, enjoying the music and having fun, not about who's better.
