I'll definitely be popping it on a dev machine at least temporarily; I recommend Ubuntu to a lot people who are trying to get into Linux and want to make sure it's still a good one . Personally, I go for lighter-weight Linux distributions .

I prefer Linux Mint It's not the best I know but for people coming from Windows it's the best distro for starting
