in the steam / tf2 forum i read a thread about a random guy who recieved a community weapon (kritz)

with 25% faster ubercharge load rate
and a longer time for ubercharge effect

isnt that mean?

he asked this Robin guy for a weapon and then he just gave it to him...

and other people play 2000 hours TF2 without getting a hat..

I use idol's face as a weapon......I have fought off countless enemies with it.

Its not mean, its how Valve works. Its just a game.

I think introducing a Diablo like weapons system in a game that was not originally intended is the real problem.

Borderlands might do it correctly.

hmmm... from what I know Comunity Weapons arent just randomly given... they're called 'Comunity' Weapons because the people that were given one have contribuited in some way to help Valve, as in map makers, developers and such...

oh and btw... If I'm correct about the player you mentioned, he already had a been given a Comunity Weapon, he didn't ask for a weapon, he just asked to swap his previous weapon for the CT Kritz because it fit his playing class better :P

I think giving any player an advantage over another is unfair and potentially game breaking. Skill should be the determining factor, not handouts.

You're probably speaking of Youme. He simply swapped his Rocket launcher - given to him for his custom maps - for a Kritzkrieg, no big deal.
Besides, Community weapons don't give you an advantage over anyone else. What's special about them? They're sparkly.

If it gives him a longer ubercharge time as Green stated, thats an advantage. Or maybe Im just understanding this all wrong since I worked all night and am very tired atm :chair:

I think the misunderstanding, is that the normal kritz has 25% faster charge over the normal uber, so the community kritz has the same over the normal uber. The longer charge lasting, I don't know where that's coming from. TBH without pics, or the thread posted I find it very hard to beleive this.

EDIT: In the world of TF2, there are so many fakes, mods, and things, never beleive anything anybody says. Get legit, proof and multiple sources of correlation between evidence. It happens so much it makes me think TF2 is 75% Troll/People Who Beleive Trolls and the rest are peopel who look at evidence, and what valve are currently saying and try and make a hypothesis based on the evidence.

Exactly, there was a guy on Turbine a few weeks ago with a community RL, all it did was have some sort of greenish sparkle effect on the weapon.
