Community Weapons

in the steam / tf2 forum i read a thread about a random guy who recieved a community weapon (kritz)

with 25% faster ubercharge load rate
and a longer time for ubercharge effect

isnt that mean?

he asked this Robin guy for a weapon and then he just gave it to him...

and other people play 2000 hours TF2 without getting a hat..

I would like to meet the man who has played 83.3 (repeating of course - leeroy jenkins video) days (2000 hours) of TF2 and punch him in the face.

i guess ive almost 1000 hours ;)
im playing since beta

just for the record
ive 2102 hours gameplay im FFX..and finally made every single quest (even the hidden ones)

DrunkenF001 Was given a Community Knife for making www.tf2items.com.

There are Eight Community Weapons:
- Community Scattergun
- Community Rocket Launcher
- Community Flamethrower
- Community Wrench
- Community The Kritzkrieg
- Community Sniper Rifle
- Community Knife
- Community Bottle
Community weapons have no difference from their regular counterparts other than their alternately coloured name and a subtle sparkling effect in-game.

Even though this is about Community weapons, here's a bit about Valve weapons.
There are ten (known) Valve Weapons:
- Valve Scattergun
- Valve Rocket Launcher
- Valve Flamethrower
- Valve Stickybomb launcher
- Valve Minigun
- Valve Shotgun
- Valve Syringe Gun
- Valve Medigun
- Valve Sniper Rifle
-Valve Revolver

Valve weapons (with the exception of the Medigun) previously had the following effects attached:
Dmg taken from fire reduced
Speed boost when active
+15% damage done
+150% clip size
+15% faster firing speed
On hit: +15 health
100% critical hit vs burning players
+50 max health on wearer
On Kill: 5 seconds of 100% critical hit chance
On Hit: 30% chance to slow target
Fire retardant

Here is the Valve Flamethrower.

These effects were later removed, making the weapons functionally the same as community and regular weapons. Valve later made reference to the overpowered effects of the Valve weapons seen via the backpack examiner site by adding a fake joke weapon, the Ban hammer, found in Gabe Newell's backpack, which bears the attribute "Bans Steam account of players killed".
