The "lag" issue

Dont let the title fool you. Not complaining about the server(s), i use to pay for my own and i know the cost...my issue is when everyone complains every round about the lag....not so much common players but i think it looks bad when guys/gals with the -e- on their names yap and moan about it every round. If you have 275 to 350 to spare a month then donate for a new box if not i think players with the -e- should at least not complain or yap in reagrds to the lag, it just looks bad all around...my vent - been ticking me off lately...

figured 99% of posts are from -e- members anyway so safe to make it...and im sure 99% are on the same page as i am...the servers are great and thats why they are full, id rather have a touch of lag at start then none and empty...plus its only office/d2 at times.

Yeah it really ticks me off when people are all complaining about the lag. I try to just calm them down and get them to drop it, but many people go on and on and on. Alot of times though it is non-members with over a hundred ping.

I mean, occasionally I do type Lag every once in a while if its SUPER bad, but at the beginning of every round on the Spyder map on jail, it lags even more with so many people typing "Lag".

Well Lag is an issue and cant be handled, we cant use our spare money for it, alot of people cant donate because of todays economy and eGO barely runs since we have so many servers
maybe about 300 a week for 3 server boxes? and theres like 7 boxes so around alot of money a week for eGO and if we had less servers we could have better servers/ less lag but people like the servers we have so we dont get rid of them

understandable and wow 7 boxs...expensive! - lag isnt issue - the complaints of it are, by memebers more so.

And from my experience on the servers, I've noticed more non eGO members complaining :/

For me, I've never noticed a bad lag issue.

I always got ping >190. And I won't complain. (Except if I have Connection Problems ^^; Wich isn't servers problem!)

Rates can actually really be messed up, so it's not a wrong complaint sometimes to tell someone to fix them. So if it's coming from someone that's not a noob telling you to fix your rates, you might as well just do it, or learn what your rates are, and see if they're the recommended ones for that specific server.
If you play on multiple servers that have different tick rates, it'd be something to remember... I play on 100tick and 66tick fairly often, there's a difference.
