I was just wondering..how many of us use skins for our guns? (don't care about player skins).

What do you use? I have new ones for all my guns (and knife) except MP5, galil, sig, aug, famas, and autosnipers. Some are pretty awesome. My p90 is a Tommy gun, my m249 is a glock19 with two barrel drums attached..I like the sounds and anims alot of them have too.

What are YOUR favourite skins?
 
I like to keep everything authentic in CS:S so I avoid using skins of any kind but I can see their appeal.

Granted, but they do give a nice sense of variation. I never used skins until the last week or two in all my years of playing.

I do find, however, that I do better, or worse, with specific skins even though the weapon fires the same. This could be due to the mentality that the sound or look gives, influencing you. As an example, Valve's glock sound is just known as weak, but if you use a skin that gives the sound a POW, it makes you think higher of the gun, and actually makes you do better with it.
 
it definitely changes your mentality towards certain weapons, like i used to have this one really awesome 5-7 skin with a great sound, i pwned with that weapon so hardcore with it because it just felt like it was much more powerful, so i was a lot more confident with the weapon

the only alterations i use now are a different headshot icon, a slim version of the scoreboard (so it doesn't take up the full screen) and a blood mod
 
Yeah, it's great for training with a certain weapon. When you feel confident and understand the power uniqueness of a weapon, you can go back and use the Valve skins again, and still be able to use each one effectively.
 
I have skins for ct's (urban camo), my knife, hands (w/ tattoos lol), and the deagle.

I use some skins on other games, but not on CS.

On DoD I have skinned everything.
 
I got skins for ALL my weapons, my knife is turned upside down and red with a nice design and yeah my p90 is a tommy gun as well. I got a nice camo m4 and black ak. my glock is like a 9mm cocked sideways (Gangster Style), my scout has a lazer :)!!! sadly doesnt work very well so i dont ever use it, it helps to center my screen tho. But if i move the scout it moves the lazer as well, so bad skin but gets rid or the scope being way to far up on the gun...But if u ever wanna get skins for your guns, i have heard people here in eGO can make them, but i go to www.fpsbanana.com they will show you how to make 1 dl it and install it but another easy way to install it and dl it it to look it up on www.youtube.com :)
 
that gangster glock is great - it really makes the glock feel a lot more worth while than what it usually does

I know precisely which one you mean. i know a few who use it.

My p228 and mac10 are also gangster held guns

Laser scout = fail skin due to cheat
