Alright i am having problems updating my bios for my EVGA x58 sli le. Ive downloaded the proper driver from the website. I have burned the files onto a cd.
I reboot my computer and select cdrom as first priority to boot from. what am i missing from this?>

if the bios package is from the evga website, it should be an .iso file. Make sure that when you burned your cd, you actually burned the IMAGE of the file onto the disk, as opposed to simply dragging and copying the individual files. If all the computer detects is the individual folders instead of the image itself, the computer will usually not detect the boot files. If you are running windows 7 simply pop in your disk and use the image burning software supplied with the OS.

if you are using a different OS, the following programs burn images just fine
-daemon tools
-magic iso
-alcohol 120%
-nero

most evga mobos have a windows installation method as opposed to DOS, but unfortunately, your model has no such option.

If the suggestion above doesnt fix your issue, pm me and i will be happy to help you out further. Ventrilo works also and I prefer it.
