I am very happy at the turn out we are seeing for our returning event! A lot of you are come-backs from the last event --- thats good! Talk about our event in server, get the word out!

Thats alright Diamond. Thanks alot for the support you have been showing. There will be other Realisms so youll have your chance soon enough.

Thats alright Roo ill be gald to clear things up for you,

Realism is a different way of playing DoD.

As the name reffers, the gameplay is more realistic than the traditional style of DoD. There are still two teams but each team takes turns defending a designated area, while the attacking team tries to illiminate all the opposing teams players. Each team has a CO (commanding officer) that will tell their team where to set up the machine guns, watch for enemies and basically direct the movements of the team. Unlike in our regular servers friendly fire is on, players must switch to spectaor when they are killed and additional weapons are restricted.

I know this sounds complicated, but once you get the hang of it you will really enjoy yourself-- just ask any of the first timers we had last week!!!

We have access to a few mods but we are waiting on someone who has total access to the event server. I know its a pain in the buttocks without one but we will get one eventually.
 
Too late to sign up for it? I'm a tentative "Definitely will be there!" Recopying all of my steamapps folder over to my C: drive after installing Windows 7. It looks like it's gonna take awhile. Copying from my external drive.

Where are you, USB 3.0?!?!?! I need you NOW!
 
Great event everyone. Anyone who didn't make it, I definitely recommend it to you for next week, it's really fun and an interesting change from regular pub style play.
