binding a key

i get asked how to bind a key a lot in game,:glare: i dont mind helping out but 10 times a day on how to bind a key is a lil much right:cursing:. So i thought i would just put this up here on how to bind a key, now all you do is type it just like this bind "z" "say medic" or bind "mouse3" "+voicerecord" that's it, now with the medic you dont have to put the ! be4 it on eGO servers, but if play eles were but it boggles my mind why you would:confused1:, i would put it cause they might still have it on. thanks RA. it does get excessive when alot of people ask you but i bound this to a key so makes it much easier to help people with this problem.

bind your medic keys with say_team, because why would you want your enemy to know you're wounded? If he can hear your cry for medic and can see your name he knows precisely where you are, and that you're immobile, and can use what he knows about your playing style to defeat you. Short story, keep it in team chat and you'll stay alive much more often.

Yes, that is the bind I use ronpaul. Makes sense to me strategically.

yeah thats why you should bind P key to say bind "x" "say_team medic" easy way to answer without having to retype it every time and say team works better

I use the letter T , because its near my fingers, and its next to reload, which a finger is over.

I only call medic if i am back in hiding somewhere away from the fire, but if real life when you yell medic not just your own team can hear you everyone can so

I think the bind for TEAM only is a great idea, for those smart peeps out there I say "I have a runny nose" they are looking for me thinking I am getting sick and feel I am too weak to defend myself

Well I just realize I can't even get into the DOD game to change it, for some reason games do not work for me right now. I am guessing my video card but I have the latest patch. So back to square one

Good post . But i have question.... can i also typ: bind "x" "say I need ammo!" ? Sow i say and hear: "I need ammo!" Becaus its anoying to go in the voice-chat menu to it. Like: y--> 3 --> 2 --> 7. ^^

Hey guys,

I know how to bind a key to medic; say "X" "say medic"

But..... i was wondering if i also can bind "Nice shot!" to "x" ?
Or "I need ammo!" to "Z".

If somebody know's, please tell me

thanks... but how do i bind 7 and 8 to:
"Squad left flank!". and "Squad right flank!"

I tried: bind "8" "voice_flankright", but that didnt work
