Steam Issues

I need to seriously reinstall steam for multiple issues and such. How do I save old content and then have it back when i reinstall steam? I really dont want to have to back up files

Are you talking about not having to re-download all of your games? If so one option is to go to your \steam folder and rename the steamapps folder to something like old_steamapps or something and then drag that folder over to your desktop or something, just make sure its out of the steam folder. After that, reinstall a fresh copy of steam and when its all done exit steam, rename the old_steamapps folder back to steamapps and move it back into your steam folder. When you start up steam again your games should be there and you didn't have to spend a lot of time re-downloading them!

delete ClientRegistry.blob If this doesn't help, then be more specific on what your "issues" with steam are, and I am sure i can help you without you uninstalling steam entirely.
