2 hats 1 game? Try 3 hats.....in a row

It could be a combo of both, since those who die a lot probably play less due to both ragequitting and, not to offend anyone, poor skill (like newbies are in this category) so those who die a lot and play in shorter spans of time still get a decent amount of drops for playing.

If someone pried open the game files we could probably find the equation for the updated drop figures, since we know hats are just a drop and the hat rate is like 0.001% for each drop.

It is indeed linked to time. WHen I idle, I sit in spectator, and when I join a server other than the idle server and die, I get all the accumulated items over those 5-10 hours.

Perhaps it's both? I know for certain that I've gotten fewer items on those days when I'm doing awesome at pyro.

Quote fails for beginning with "and"

Guys guys guys, lets not lower ourselves to the flame mob. Let us rtemember the important thing here.

I got 2 and deleted one! (On accident) [Who cares though it was another duplicate]

Being an independent clause that makes sense.
There is nothing wrong with beginning a sentence with the word 'and'.

The following excerpt is taken from the Guide to Grammar and Style by Professor Jack Lynch of Rutgers University:
Contrary to what your high school English teacher told you, there's no reason not to begin a sentence with but or and; in fact, these words often make a sentence more forceful and graceful. They are almost always better than beginning with however or additionally. Beginning with but or and does make your writing less formal-but worse things could happen to most writing than becoming less formal.

Note, though, that if you open with but or and, you usually don't need a comma: not "But, we did it anyway"; it's enough to say "But we did it anyway." The only time you need a comma after a sentence-opening conjunction is when you want to sneak a clause right between the conjunction and the rest of the sentence: "But, as you know, we did it anyway."
See what you've done now? I was forced to make you learn proper grammar. Beware the wrath of my teaching!

BEEEEEEWAAAAARE!

I meant more about your quote referring to nothing, because it's a seperate quote! simply remove And, and it says the same thing but is proper :)

The quote was meant to be a corollary to the quote right before. Anyway, the point is it happens to me every time I'm doing well. When I do worse, I get more items.

The only way to be completely sure is to perform a double-blind test with many participants. Any volunteers?

This is the 8th time where something exciting that has happened to me resulted in people fighting over grammar.

Then perhaps it is you who is at fault Goretex. Let us perform a test. You are no longer allowed to have good things happen to you. Then we'll see if grammar arguments are less prevalent.

I before E except when that's not how it goes.
