Steam error

SORTED:
shut off steam
delete your ClientRegistry.blob
start steam
steam updates


Disconnect: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket.

When I try and join a server(have tried non-eGO) this message pops up. I ave tried restarting both steam and my computer and have also re-logged into steam twice. Any ideas? Thanks. x)

Just to double make sure,....... Almost all of these problems are solved from logging out and logging back into steam. PLEASE NOTE that closing steam and logging back in IS NOT THE SAME as clicking file - log out, and then loggin back in (even though it sounds stupid they are different).


Have you done this? if not, please try and get back to us, if you have then we can try to move forward. Also, where did the begining of your post come from? The Sorted part.

Thanks for your help greenmonkey. I went to another similar thread, with a similar problem and tried your advice of EXITING steam. I tdidnt work. The 'sorted' bit is instructions for anyone who has the same problem.
