So I have an EVGA nForce 730a motherboard.

I found the bios update on their site, downloaded it, burned the iso, and followed instructions, only one problem... it won't flash the bios.

It says "Press Y to continue, N to cancel.", but underneath that is an a: prompt that all my text goes into, which refuses to accept either y or n as a valid entry.

Any help?

Isnt there something for nForce like a software bios update? I have a Foxconn motherboard, and when i wanted to update my bios. I could do that from my desktop and didnt have to boot my pc from some USB or disc. Search at google for EVGA nForce Bios update Software.
For Foxconn its called: Foxxconn live update. Hope there is something like that for you too.

No luck. Seems they really want me to do it by floppy, except I DON'T HAVE A FLOPPY DRIVE.

Try with USB. Thats what a computer store told me onces. ;)

Just pretend your USB is the floppy:P Sow make your USB bootable, and put the right files on it.
