Riddle me this.....

Here's one:

There are three types of people: soldiers (who always tell the truth), spies (who always lie) and engineers (who sometimes lie and sometimes tell the truth).

You encounter three individuals (A, B, and C) who are personally unknown to you - but you DO know that at least one is a soldier. They make the following statements:

A says: B is a spy
B says: A is a soldier
C says: Either A or B is telling the truth

Which one is definitely a soldier? And can we tell what the other two are?

A is an engineer who told the truth this time. B is a spy. C is a soldier.
To specifically answer questions: C, and yes.

Only one color, but not one size,
Stuck at the bottom, yet easily flies.
Present in sun, but not in rain,
Doing no harm, and feeling no pain.
What is it?

My shadow!

Saw this before. I'd leave it for others to figure out but I want the next one!

I'm about done with riddles for a while, but guys keep posting! It's fun and helps the day past while you're thinking about that riddle! Remember, cheating is no fun and not fair to those that don't. Keep it clean, keep it honest, keep it eGO

Try this:

You have two pieces of string which when lit will burn for 1 hour. So how would you time for 45 minutes?

Basically i would say take one of the pieces of string and set it alight on both sides, and light one end of string on the other bit of string. So Basicaly String A has both ends lit and B only 1. When A has burnt out it would have taken 30mins. By this time also B wouls have half burnt. Now set alight B from the other end and it would take 15mins to burn the rest of the string since it halves half way :). So you have 45mins.

A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
How can this be?

Enjoy :)

She shot a photograph.

Is my answer to your previous question correct?

... Yep Ill put in a series of them this time see how long it takes you to do em :)

A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse? Give a reason.

Mr. Grumper grumbles about bad time-keeping trains like everybody else. On one particular morning he was justified, though. The train left on time for the one hour journey and it arrived 5 minutes late. However, Mr. Grumper's watch showed it to be 3 minutes early, so he adjusted his watch by putting it forward 3 minutes. His watch kept time during the day, and on the return journey in the evening the train started on time, according to his watch, and arrived on time, according to the station clock. If the train traveled 25 percent faster on the return journey than it did on the morning journey, was the station clock fast or slow, and by how much?

Final one for now :)
After teaching his class all about roman numerals (X = 10, IX=9 and so on) the teacher asked his class to draw a single continuous line and turn IX into 6. The only stipulation the teacher made was that the pen could not be lifted from the paper until the line was complete.

No.
All objects have mass: Gas liquid and solid. Because it is a truck, it must have fuel. Fuel is a liquid. When it is burned, you lose that mass as it becomes a gas and permeates into the air. This causes the truck to lost mass, bringing its weight below 7 tonnes. Because it drove half a mile, and is, after all, a large truck, the assumption is that it burns enough fuel to lose enough weight, so that the truck+remaining fuel+bird would still weight just under 14000 lbs

Possibly but the right answer was draw the "S" so it looked like S IX... Yours it possible too i guess :)

Yeah, but bleh. xP The other answer makes more sense. xD It was just the way you worded it that made me think of my answer.

The morning journey took 65 minutes, so the evening journey took 52 minutes. If the train arrives "on time" by the station clock, it must have left 8 minutes early (according to that clock) - but according to the watch, it left on time. The clock is 5 minutes faster than the watch. So the station clock is 3 minutes fast. I think. ;)

Correct.
