Need some help again

Hey everyone. I need a headset. Im not too concerned with price, but there has to be a good reason for me to pay a lot. Theres really only 2 things i want from this: Heavy duty durability (I tend to break things xD ) and Decent sound/mic quality.

Im looking at this Turtle beach headset. I was wondering who had any experience with it and what they thought of it. Of course, if you can reccomend a better one, id love to know as well.

Well if price isn't a huge problem. The Logitech G35 is probably one of the best headsets out there in terms of quality and all that. Its expensive though and thats the only downside pretty much. Read up some reviews on it, they are all praising it pretty much. Sennheiser makes really nice ones too but like one of them is almost $200. Tritton isn't bad either but the Logitech G35 is my recommendation.

This is a really really good deal. The G35 usually goes for like $130 if you check bestbuy and those sites. GET THIS!!!

For me the number one thing is comfort and these definitely deliver. Course I got em for much cheaper off my Best Buy Employee Discount .

They have served me quite well for the past oh its been close to six months now. Sound is wonderful and the mic is nice too. Main thing I like is the insulation for the cables so that a lot of that ambient noise from your computer can't seep in and cause all that ugly static you hear in game and in vent Hope this helps!

The Turtle Beach X58 is an excellent headset and is around $75 on Newegg, though it could be less.

5.1 Surround sound and a mic, to me its a wonder its been all my life perfect sound once you tweak it to your liking and the mic quality is awesome.

I use the Creative Fatality's. I have the USB, but the standards are $10 cheaper. Not a bad set, and I have tried several. Good sound, great mic and pretty durable. My wife uses the Razor "something or anothers" and really ikes them. If you're interested, I can find out the model.

These Zalman ZM RS6FM headphones are great they have 5.1 sound there are lots of reviews on them aswell. You can also get them with 1/8 inch plugs or usb which ever you prefer. Neweggs did not carry them but check your local places and online places you buy from.

i also have the creative fatal1ty headset. i have the standard plug in not the usb version. I love it, Its confortable, durable, and provides quite good sound and mic quality for a decent price.

The main thing you gotta realize when choosing a headset is this

A) 3-D sound in a headset is a farce. There is not enough difference in 3d sound performance for games other than it just adds a little bit of depth to the overall sound. If you are on a budget don't waste your money on "3-D Headsets" Its not real.

B) The main difference between USB and Analog interface headsets is that USB headsets offer a more crisp rich sound for out of game voice clients such as Ventrilo, Teamspeak, Mumble, etc. Analog offers a better music sound quality and a better in-game voice.

C) If you are buying online always go and see if a brick-and-mortar electronics store has that model in stock to see if you like the layout and to also check the insulation of the cable for the headset. The better insulation the less ambient noise that will seep through and ruin your experience.

What you are hearing is a false 3-d Sound though. If you want 3-D sound then dont wast money on a headset. Plain and simple lol
