Windows Quicktime Control Host Error

Wondering if anyone else has ever had an issue with their "Windows Quicktime Control Host" when going through your explorer windows renaming folders, files ect. It started a few days ago. Ive run virus scans, combofix, searched forums for fixes tried those. But to my dismay the error still occurs. Any other suggestions?

Id like to avoid reformatting my HDD.

If all else fails, and no one else here at eGO can help, head over to http://pchelpforum.com and ask them for help. I've been happy with them whenever I have had difficult issues with my computer / laptop. Plus they reply pretty quickly as well.

why bother fighting with quicktime win just use VLC or Gom instaed

Please note that the issue is resolved by cleaning the registry after a virus scan has been completed in safe mode.
