If playing blackmesa or any other map for that matter this is the typical response of a pyro after being backstabbed.

As for your issue, I dunno. Sometime i'll randomly find a spy just out of luck. If they aren't hax I'd say someone saw you. Make sure ur watching your watch, I know on a few occassions I haven't been paying attention and become uncloaked and recloaked when i stop. dunno for sure if this throws smoke or not cuz sometimes people haven't noticed me and are looking right at me. I get the same thing happening even with eGO members so. I say just inexperience. I find best place to stay is the obvious. Sounds silly but most people don't check the obvious cuz it would be plain stupid for a spy to stand there. Corners are bad idea most of the time spies like corners to much and you make it easy for people to get you stuck there so you can't run. Most spies that get me i tend to walk backwards into in the middle of open areas and just think its lag or something.
