Left 4 Dead 2 - Banning censored versions from the server?

As some of you might know already, Australians and Germans have received censored versions of Left 4 Dead 2 due to some unecessary regulations that restrict the ammount of gore and violence that games can contain.

But there also appears to be a law in Germany stating that you cannot shoot riot police in video games, so the UCI are removed for the first campaign.
The only reason the Aussies version doesn't have the UCI either is because they have received the "German" version of the game. Everytime I play the demo, and the riot police doesn't spawn, everone gets suspicous, and if someone admits that they have a censored version they get votekicked almost immedieately.

It has gone so far now that server owners started banning Aussies and Germans from their servers, or plan to do so in the near future. What do you guys think about this?

In my opinion, this is ridicolous, but also reasonable. I see that the argument is that the whole server shouldn't suffer the censorship of a single player, yet the player really has no choice, and banning all players with Australian and German IPs will also ban those that have importat un-cut versions.

I'd rather have this game banned in my country (Germany) than this. It would make getting the uncensored version so much easier and my IP wouldn't get instabanned on every second server.

I don't understand why the riot cop zombies are such a huge deal, there have been tons of games with riot cops before, why mind them now in L4D2?

While I understand that people want to enjoy the full game (read, killing challenging new uncommon infected) I HATE these server mods. There are tons of people like me who will play the uncensored version. Couldn't people just kick the german/australian guy when they become suspicious? This has gotten out of hands!
I also don't get why Valve just remodeled the riot cop zombies...

well anything and everything that is NOT infected with the virus. otherwise they would jsut attack eachother all day.

I'm assuming that there blocking riot police so no one gets any violent ideas. But people could get the same violent ideas from killing regular zombies. This doesn't make any since.

are you sure? what about after they went home? i mean...you sure they were'nt spy zombies?

sorry, could'nt resist, anyway, why would they censor something like that? it does'nt make sence, if i see a zombies chest blasting off where i can see inside the chest thats okay but shooting riot zombies in the back is'nt? its just a game and if they think its trying to give people ideas then some people in the law need to get they're heads checked

hah, in 28days/wks later even military personnel did as well as in the res evil movies too.
