I have a G15 keyboard, the thing just rocks! I love the use of the ' G ' keys and the simple on the fly programming of them. Whenever I play CS:S, I can buy everything I need for that " DrBlac0's " rush in 2 seconds flat. While the rest of the team is shopping for weapons and nades like they are at Wal-Mart. Offten I get asked " how did you get there so quick?! " The answer is 2 parts: Good spawn staring point ( for A or B ) and my G15; AK, Armor, and all nades Plus my P228 in 2 seconds, face the direction and take off when that clock hits zero! I fall off topic, sorry, does anyone have a G19 keyboard? If so how has it treated them? What else do they do with it, as I've read that there are heaps of new add ons and the like. I see they brought back 6 more ' G ' keys which is good so now I can program my ' G ' keys to buy every weapon on the menu! Your input is needed. Thanks!

MAC 10 FTW!!!!!!

$50 is a bit much for a keyboard IMO. I only use a select few weapons depending on T/CT, but I just bind them to a key in the buy menu :/

I'd rather get a great mouse and have a decent quiet keyboard, than a sweet keyboard and an "okay" mouse.

Yeah I understand where you guys are coming from. A price check on the keyboard is ( lowest on net I found ) $165. As far as a mouse goes. I have a G9 mouse, thing rocks, although I must admitt I have not figured out how to use all it has to offer like the built in ROM to remember your settings if you use it on someones elses computer. I t has lovely light on it tho. LOL. But they are charging so much because the LCD is color and in one review.....they said it can act like a second monitor, and you can change the color of your keys to fit you system's color. So IDK I'll look into it. If I buy it, I'll post a simple review on it.

I'm in the end stages of building my PC and I figure if Uncle Sam's paying me, why not buy.

but thanks guys.

Yea that logitech addon is a cheaper solution.
And yea personally i wouldn't spend so much on a keyboard. I would invest more into computer components like a graphics card or something.
But there are people out there that like to spend that type of money on stuff i wouldn't and i have no objection.

Why not get both?

Or you could spend it on nice computer parts. But still, the extra $50 or so saved won't get you much.

Personally, although the G19 look pretty cool and has a little more features, I wouldn't need it. I've got a G15 and a G9. They're plenty. 6 macro keys is more than enough for me. The nice thing about the G19 is the custom backlight. My G15 doesn't match my computer. :(

Intel i7 core 775 EE with Asus Rampage II Extreme motherboard $ 1,300
Tritton AX Pro 5.1 Heastset $ 169
2 ATI 3870 HD cards $ 480 ( I brought these in like may 09 )
G9 gamming mouse $ 70
G15 gamming keyboard $ 99
Nzxt Tempest Case $ 100 ( Just got today, and the funnie thing, the case costed me $100 bucks......to ship to me $ 130 bucks. )

Needless to say I'm one of those people. LOL. Plus why not I did my bid for King and Country. Now they hit me up with extra cash at end of month, why not build a gamming rig? All the nice lights, starting up a rig that sounds like a M1A1 Abrams, Awesome! :P

Wow that is a nice setup except for the 2x3870. No offense but those things are outdated and probably slowing down the rest of your computer. I also believe you mean i7 975, the extreme i7 CPU basically. That is a hell of a CPU, $1,000 right there.
You should think about getting 2x5870 or something, it will probably balance out your system.
Case is nice, i have a cooler master HAF 932 but thought about getting an NZXT Tempest for its performance, the HAF 932 was better though so i went with it and its bigger.

You definitely have the money to spare.
Heres my recommendations along with the keyboard:
-Alrite you can probably afford the keyboard so go for it, it will definitely be a nice addition.
-I really recommend upgrading your GPU's to something like 2x5870 if you can. It will really give you a huge and tremendous boost.
It might even be enough to bottleneck in like 1 or 2 games but i doubt it, the i7 975 is an absolute monster and i highly doubt it will get bottlenecked by 2 measley 5870's even though they are crazy monsters themselves and have been bottlenecked by an i7 965.

Or you can wait for the Nvidia 300 cards to come out! :) Yeah, you need to upgrade those GPUs.

Yes, but nobody knows if Nvidia will be able to make a dual-gpu solution due to the GT300 DIE size. THE THING IS HUGEEE. The GT300 cards will definitely be the fastest single gpu cards though, no doubt about it. ATI just has the advantage of dual-gpu cards as of now, unless Nvidia manages to do something like shrink their cards to have a dual-gpu card.

Pew, Pew your right about my vid cards, I started building my system back in March. One or two parts at a time. When I got the cards, they ran me about 500 bucks for both, and they did indeed suck. TAKE NO OFFENSE PLZ ANYONE, but I'm done with ATI. It is in my opinion, they blow. I can not understand why they would even put 1 gig of RAM on these cards, for they don't use it, well at least on my computer. I was thinking of investing in EVGA Geforce GTX 295. Bad news is, it won't be happening till at least the new year as these cards run $500 bucks and up. But to be fair I don't have problems with the cards I have now. When I play CS:S dust2 I get about 260-299 FPS and in the highschool server I top out at 299. GTA IV, I ran the in game bench test and pulled in 55.7 fps @ 1680x1050 120Hz. Idk if that's good for GTA but I've no problem with the eye candy. Either way my next item will be a Nvidia card, cos I got the viewsonic vx2265wm monitor and I would like to give Nvidia's 3d glasses a shot. Thank you for the comp on my rig, took my all summer and most of fall to build, I'll be taking pics soon and I'll post.

P.S your right, I can't type, it's the 975 processor. ( I got a combo deal at newegg, the mobo and cpu for $1300.)

P.S.S I ordered the G19 today already, will get it friday.

So I got the G19 keyboard today, and I tell you friends it's well worth it. I found deal at Comp-o-Plus for $164 bucks, cheapest I could find on this little baby. They added some things new to the keyboard the G15 lacks. The G keys for one. There are 12 of them now, still lacking from the 1st G15 which had 18, however I can program these keys to buy all the equipment in CS:S for both teams now.

Another cool feature is the fact you can change the color of your back lit keys to suite your system. Most of my system is back lit blue, and the keys match. My AX pro head phones are the only then out of place with orange color. The keyboard is black now unlike the G15's silver color crap. The keys a comfortable to type with, I found the G15 keys too hard and you really had to hit the keys. These key are not to soft, nor to hard. A Volume control rollor has been installed which comes in handie. As well a a mini media control player.

The real cream is the LCD. The thing rocks, all it is ( as it's been said ) is an mini monitor. in fact you have to plug in a power pack just for this feature. I was watching Youtube on it while I was playing CS:S and was dead! Awesome! You can get real live news feeds video, control Vent through it, as well as any IM's you get ( sorry not steam though ). I use trillion, and with that I can chat on line while gamming or what ever I'm doing. I'm going todig around and see what mod are out for the G19 LCD. I know there's A CS:S stats monitor for the G15: http://echovoice.com/projects/egs , for those G15, CS:S users.

It has 2 USB 2.0 ports now on the same side so there's not wires all over the place. Over all I would indeed recommend this key board. If you have the cash to spare, pick it up. Note to the wise.....if you do get it, protect it! It's a heavy investment into a keyboard.

From what i hear "if" you have the money to shell out the G19 is awesome.... that's what I hear though. I haven't seen one for myself yet.

The GTX295 is a dual gpu card but, its $500+.
