It seems ever since I upgrade to 4gb ram DoD runs worse. Kalt in particular is very choppy sometimes. I usually get 60fps, but usually when I respawn the game is very very choppy usually until I make it to the bridge, then it settles down. But occasionally I get what appear to be really bad lag spikes at the worst possible times.
Its not my network or lag issue though, and my PC should own DoD performance wise. I used to have 2gb ram and had a heapsize set at 524288. I removed that for 4gb as I read heapsize doesnt really do much anyway.
The only lines in my autoexec.cfg are to disable HDR/Bloom. I tried the settings from the "Got Lag?" thread but that didnt do anything either.
Other servers like Avalanche, Flash or Donner run fine. Flash sometimes hitches but not nearly as bad as Kalt.
