Anti-glare vs Glossy

Ok, so I just ordered my new laptop and it comes with and Anti-glare screen..compared to the stock..glossy.... Does anyone have Anti-glare, to tell me what its like, obviously it reduces glare, but how good is it?

Most coating are proprietary so without make of the laptop cant really tell ya.

I'm not entirely sure but I think glossy = more brighter and anti-glare = anti-glare?

anti-glare was originally advertised over the small bevel in big monitors. now, antiglare can be controlled by teflon coated screens, screens without bevel, etc. It really does cut down glare. but at the same time, all laptop screens are 100% flat now. So they are anti-glare by design, but further anti-g is achieved by adding material to the screen. It's not noticeable, but you will not achieve the same tru colors and brightness (i think) as high end screens. For glossy it is the opposite, it is still anti-g in design because of the flat screen, but the actual screen is diff material that i think enhances the colors.
