This is where it depends...

I voted for firefox because of its speed and simplicity with plenty of security

Chrome is good for a clean look and its speed, has some downfalls of some websites not working correctly though

Internet explorer pretty much sucks because half the time you are fighting it to work, but is good for websites that require it (LOL)

Opera is good according to my one friend, but I do not use it and have not used it.

I do believe there was an article on Tom's about browser security. They tested the 4 above by attempting to attack the user . Overall it said IE8 was safest , blocking 81 % of hack attempts. Firefox had around a 50 % success rate. The others were like 20 and below.

I still use Firefox. Love it.

you will find in this article that IE 8 is actually faster than firefox 3.5

I voted for IE. I used to be a firefox user, but IE8 blew firefox out of the water. Again, it usually comes down to preference, but there are plenty of tests that prove IE8 is both more secure and faster than firefox.

There I said it.

Used to use opera but the compatability was poor. Used chrome for about an hour and uninstalled it because it was not the best, and it was nothing beyond average in my opinion.

Netscape by far.safe. fast. clean. The problem with FireFox is the older it gets the slower it is and with all the secruirty makes it slow.

firefox just because ive been using it for a really long time and hadn't had any problems with it.

I chose Chrome. People tend to avoid this because it can be a bit buggy, or because they love all the firefox addons. But i chose this because this is the most fastest browser for me, even when my internet is running really slowly Chrome will still be running fast.

Google Chrome is the best browser by FAR, but it isnt that great when it comes to Adobe Flash videos like youtube, metacafe etc. but if you want a browser that you can customize go for google chrome or firefox, firefox has more addons because its been around longer but Google Chrome is getting the attention it deserves now.
