Help!

Please help getting back into the game. I recently upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and now I can't load any Steam games.

Everytime I try to load a Steam game this error comes up: "HL2.Exe failed to load platform moduals". I contacted Steam Support over a week ago and they havn't been able to provide an answer that works and it takes about 4 days between messages.

If anyone has any suggestions, I sure would appreciate them.

Turn off the UAC, make sure you have antivirus and firewalls before doing it if ur computer smart, if not. heres another way.

Here is an alternative, goto your installed Steam Folder is (in Program Files x86 for 64bit Vista/Win 7), right click on the folder and then change the security options for your account name to allow control over folder.

If that doesn't work, You need to reinstall steam period and re-download games for sure. If you already did that, then IDK
