Learning more about DOD

Hey guys! i went to my first realism night and it was a blast! so i just wanted to know a few things about eGO DOD

1) what are the server IP's.
2) how can i get better at DOD
3) how many other events do you run?

1) All the servers for DoD can be found at: http://stats.edgegamers.org/hlstats.php?game=dods
2) Simply by playing, find a weapon that you like and try to improve with that weapon in specific, try to help your team out by capping flags/objectives and with enough experience the kills will begin to fall in place
3) Usually 3-4 events a week; including Kalt assault on Sunday nights, Admin abuse night on Tues, Wildcard (event picked by votes) on Thurs, and the realism event that has been happening on Saturdays.

Really the only way to get better is practice and more practice

2. Practice. Learn the different classes and if you have time sit in spec and watch the better players to learn some tricks of the trade. Hop onto different maps and most importantly always show up to our Realism Night.

Tues: Admin Abuse Night (Leadership makes you their plaything)
Thur: Wild Card Night (ill keep you guessing on that)
Sat: Realism Night (Tactical approach to playing DoD)
Sun: Kalt Assault Night (only support and assault classes allowed)

2) Just keep playing, IMO DoD is a game where you get better by playing. A few tip videos on YouTube cant hurt tho. Also try new interesting techniques.

- Admin Abuse Night
Ever wonder what powers the leadership has but doesn't use? Join us in vent before hand for the password and find out in game what kind of things the leadership can do to you. Maybe you will even be no_cliped!

- Wild Card Event
A random event will happen. What will it be? Sniper, bazooka, orange map, or a demolitions map? We may ask you to vote in a poll to see what we will play for that night!

Thats awesome, all 4 posters before me answered with in 3 minutes of each other.
Also Lotus you were a blast to have with us last night.

What I did with the weapons was use them all until I got to the 500 kills mark and got the achievement, cause once you get 500 kills with a gun, you're pretty good with it by then.

you just have to practice learn what weapons work best for what situation and just do work with them!

im not gonna answer questions that have all ready been answered half a dozen times...but i will say imho the best way to get better is play often...and watch the players that are better than you...oh...and stay away from the hiding places that everyone always hides in...if you can make someone do a double-take...guaranteed kill...

oh...and the best events...again imho...kalt assault on sunday evenings and gun games...we did a gun game the other night and it was a blast...some of the most fun that ive ever had playing dod...and ive been playing for a long time...
