If you were in a fight

I'd do this thing that civilized people do. Work it out. They actually resolve their issues WITHOUT resorting to violence! Crazy, huh?

Fighting over bumping shoulders? Give me a break.

I'm a pacifist, so my answer would be that I'd bring nothing to the "fight". I'd go there, and stand there. If he wants to beat me up, he can go ahead. I'm not going to fight back.

This, of course means that today's world is not civilized. That's why there is the occupation of Afgahnistan and Iraq, right?

Correct.

The definition of "civilized" is "having an advanced or humane culture, society, etc. and polite; well-bred; refined."

War. Fighting over bumping shoulders. Hate. Discrimination. Racism. All of these are existent in the world, and more specifically the U.S.

I wouldn't call today's society civilized if you paid me.

I guess it all depends on where your base line of civilized is.

For example, we are very advanced in those areas from say 3000 years ago.But if you set the civilization standard higher than we are currently, then yes, we are not very advanced.

Of course by saying advanced you are implying a progression of time and therefore we have become more "civilized" over a period of time.

And I think its a sad fact that hate, racism and war will always exist in this world. All we can do is try and subdue it as much as possible.

Just my two cents.
 
We are as civilized as 1 million years ago...no more no less....being civilized is relative to ones era....we today see chasing down any animal in our path beating it with a club for food as uncivilized, but when man first started out that was just part of their day. today we have newer gadgets and crap, speak languages rather then grunts, clean ourselves regularly, and all that sort....we commonly dont squat and take a poop like a dog in the grass, or pee on things to mark our territory.....

well i am tired but what i am saying is this.... being civilized is truly relative to ones time in history, so we have not become more or less civilized.

Well, considering I take mixed martial arts classes, specifically Muay Thai and Jujitsu, it'd be safe to say that he would be on the ground before his fingers moved. Just sayin'
 
i dont think i would go there unarmed because people now a days are crazy but if i were to bring something it would probably be something small but useful like a knife or maybe a small pistol like a glock 20

You see, the ork Waaagh! makes things the orks believe in true, the orks believe their weapons work although there are no working parts in them, making most ork weapons and vehicles unusable by other races. Orks believe that red vehicles go faster, and because of this the red ork vehicles DO go faster.

Well since I've trained in Brazillian Jiu-Jistu, Boxing, and Hapkido I think I would be fine enough with just fighting the guy without a weapon. First order of business is to take him to the ground so I would start off with a chopping kick to the inside of his lead leg while he tries to rush me. This would most likely throw him off his balance and stumbling into me. From there I would use a hiptoss or even a basic leg sweep to put him on the ground and on his back. From there I would use my Jiu-Jitsu to gain the full mount, flip him onto his stomach, and choke him unconscious.

With him out cold I would drag him away from the street (against a building or some place away from cars where he could potentially get hurt) and be on my way. Both of us leave the conflict alive and unhurt.

But his name's Altair and he is awesome... But my choice would be the standard knife you get for close-quarters, quick and agile and its fun to use :)

FORGET THAT! My Muay thai would just come in with a round house kick to the head before he even gets in arms length. Though, if I feel like being a major major evil person, a swift kick to the side of the knee. Experience has told me that the bullies have no idea what they're doing, so he wouldn't know to expect it or to block it with a nice shin going into mine!

The Jujitsu is fun, but a lot of times, it's way to much work for what needs to get done (At least in skilled matches). I like to get my fights done quickly.
 
First thing... respect to anyone who takes muay thai, brazilian juijitsu/kickboxing. Second, talking to the person sometimes won't work especially the ones that think they are really "hard/tough", which means you don't want to be looked down and you have to attend the "little match". Then as we are about to fight, I will pretend that I'm doing some "dragonballz/naruto/drunkingmaster/wierd meditating kind of thing to make him scared/freaked out." In his mind he is thinking, "WTH! is this guy doing!?" From there.... I will get close to him and blow white powder at him. Then I have a friend from a distance shoot a tranquilizer at him and end the match with a statement that everyone will think... "WTH? Did I just see....?!" :O

You walk out safely, he lays on the ground unharm and confused. :confused1:
