Prefered Mouse and Mousepad

I gotta get my hands on the G9 Xplag, literally. This claw grip , the way you describe it, i may not like . Wont know for sure til i actually get it in my hand . I would not drop $100 on the G9x however, i believe the major difference is the 5000 dpi which is just nuts. 2000dpi seems excellent on the G5 as it is especially comparing it to the budget mice.

When i first built my new rig about 6 months ago , i went cheap on the mouse, keyboard, speakers , and used an old mousepad. Spending $1500 on a rig , i did not feel right using an $8 kb, leftover mouse, leftover pad, and a $40 set of speakers. 3 of the 4 above make an impact on the users play, the rig being for gaming , i would be nuts not to get better hardware. Upgrading the speakers made another huge difference, going from Philips 2.1 that died in a few months to some Klipsch 2.1 . Now that i got better speakers, i couldn't help but get a xonar sound card even though the onboard ALC888 is great imo.

Bottom line, if u do any gaming at all , a $30 G5 , $50 G15 , and a $11 mousepad is worth it.

Forgot to mention, i adjust my dpi in game every single time i play. Example, when i'm playin as my heavy and i have a scout running around me, its nice to be able to keep up with em using the highest setting.

When i switch classes, 2000dpi is too high and i can knock it down a notch with a click on the mouse without exiting to windows .
