special rates for wireless online gaming ??

Hi fellas!

Just wonder,wether I need to change my cfg or rates for playing dod:s online with my notebook wireless ???
My broadbad bandwidth is about 4 mb and I got almost 60-85 % connetivity to my router,so good connection,but onlinegaming might course some disadvantages during playing wireless....

Observed some losses and choke too.......

anyone can give me proffessional advice please

The internet comming into your house is about 4Mbps (as you said) - worst case scenario you are using wireless B which has a transfer rate of about 12Mbps. Mathmatically you could be experiancing 50% loss and still be transferring to the router faster than your internet.

There should be nothing needed to change to play games on a wireless router, however if you are experiancing lagg related issues then we can help you out with those. Please be detailed about the type of lag you are experiencing, and let us know how much choke, fps, in/out, ping, etc you are having.

rate "14000"
cl_updaterate "50"
cl_cmdrate "50"

the rest is standard Steam cfg values...
