Disabling Onboard Video

Recently I purchased a new computer

It is an Asus desktop with a Core2 Quad running windows 7 64 bit, 8 gb of RAM, 1 TB HD..the catch is that it came with onboard video. I went and purchased an ATI HD 4350 from Best Buy and installed without a hitch. The only issue Im having is that I do not believe it is running to full capacity. While I know the card isnt the newest, it should be able to run TF2 and other games at greater than 30 fps. I cannot even attempt to run my favorite game (Arma II).

I have been reading online about disabling the onboard video on my product specifically, but have not found anything that explains to me how to do it. Ive searched the BIOS and Computer for ways.

Does anyone know how Im supposed to go about this, or if everything is right but I need to tweak my card somehow?

well im sorry to say the the 4350 is just that weak. Try turning down the settings some, valve games have this way of overestimating your specs (on my laptop it put 4xAA XD)

If you look thru the BIOS maybe you'll find something like "On-board VGA adapter" usually next to on board sound/usb/etc. that will allow you to turn it off maybe...

In the bios settings find the setting that says "Int display first" and it should say VGA you can change that to PCI and wala your onboard video is shut off. Atleast in most of my computer builds that's what it said in the bios. It is also possible that the onboard video shut its self off once it detected a actual gfx card. Some do that some don't =\

or if none of those work,
go to
Start menu > right-click on computer, go to properties > and then go to Device Manager in the top left > a window will pop up, look in the Display Adapters drop down > find your onboard graphics card and right-click, properties > go to the driver tab, and then click Disable.

As reflex stated , and we do not mean to hurt your feelings but that card is sub par. I played the ARMA 2 demo a bit on my GTX260 and i was surprised how hard the game taxes the GPU. What resolution are u running TF2 at?
