What Video Editing Software Would You Use

Hands-down, Adobe Premier (Elements). STUPIDLY EXPENSIVE, but if you're in the biz....I guess you can afford it!

note* Adobe CS3 master CD has all you need.

yeah final cut is really sweet! my friend and me have made some tight videos on with it

Downloading Illegal pirated software, is not something I would tell others to do, or come right out and say to others that I do that. Also eGO does not condone pirating software and your post will most likely be deleted.

Anyway Apple Final Cut Studio is one of the best programs for video editing, and its an industry standard. If you don't have a mac, adobe premier is a good alternative. CS3 and CS4 are pretty much identical so either one will do. Also Imovie HD is a good program too, if you have a mac. However I still prefer the old 2006 version instead of 08 or 09.

Windows Movie Maker for Windows 7 (AKA Windows Live Movie Maker) is actually pretty decent...

They included so much as a "Save Movie As... 720p, 1080p" and even so much as a "Publish on YouTube" Option straight from the Program.

But, if you want something more advanced, then go Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas.

Final Cut Pro is bomb. Its nice cause its simplistic enough that its easy to learn but still has all the advanced functions as well.

For all of you talking about Final Cut Pro...

You're forgetting the majority of the people here probably don't have a Mac.

Then buy a Avid Mojo and buy that software. Its pretty much the windows version only slower and a little more complicated.

That's not the point...hehe...

The point is, if you have a Mac then get Final Cut Pro...

but most people don't so I wouldn't recommend it. Wouldn't recommend Avid Mojo either.

But since money isn't a option why go with a program so basic as Movie Maker?

I never said go WMM if money is not an option. I was merely stating that the new WMM is actually pretty decent.

Besides, if money isn't an option, does that mean I can't suggest free programs as well as others?

No.

i agree that its good worth adversary. And i never said that free programs were out of the question. I know that a couple programs that are invaluable with video media.

I've used Final Cut Pro 7 and own CS4. I like them both and they both have pros and cons - but something to remember.

I used final cut on a quad core MAC
I use premier pro on my dual core hard core machine.

so naturally I prefer CS4 because my computer is better and I like windows software better.
