Heres what i get evertytime i try to get on a server ...it never goes past the loading tf2 box......worked fine last night now nothing....no settings were changed or anything...this is the first time its happened in 3 years...any help would be great thanks..brandon

IDK what might be causing that..but sometimes I get the same error after I exit Tf2. And then steam locks up..I have to hit ctrl+alt+del to close it..
One thing you could try if you haven't already is verifying your game catch.

Have you downloadet any skins?

uninstall any skins or models you may have added, if it still doesn't work then verify integrity of game cache, if still not do a clean install, if still not contact steam support.

This is one of those problems were there is no fix that i know of. I had the same problem when I got my new rig up and running. It did it for about a month on and off then it just went away. There were times I would play for 5-15 minutes and it would happen and other times I could play for a few hours before it would happen. I wish I had a fix for ya but I looked all over the place and I could not find a solution. Hopefully it will just work itself out like it did for me.
Many times, random game glitches are caused by registry errors or invalid hive information. May I suggest running a hard-drive integrity test and have windows repair itself?
You can easily do this by entering into your command prompt:
XP: Start-Run- type cmd - enter.
Vista/Win 7: Start- in the search bar type cmd - enter - left-Click on Command Prompt Icon
Once in the command prompt:
Type chkdsk /F - enter.
You will recieve a message telling you that the disk you need to check is already mounted and asking if it's ok to complete the process on system restart.
Type Y - enter
Type exit - enter
Restart your machine and watch the pretty blue screen (DON'T PRESS ANY KEYS DURING THE PROCESS)
I know it seems like a simple fix, but I've had it work on CS/CS:S many times! Save yourself a bit of headache and give it a shot!
