I'm kinda boycotting this one, mostly because I'm tired of hearing people yell "2012!" plus my latest venture to the movie theater, I ran into a party leaving the film comprised of relatively old people who looked fairly wise but they were going "OMG OMG Life changing... Im scared now omg omg brilliant movie but scary because its really going to happen" and I was rolling my eyes so much that I lost control and they unscrewed themselves out of the socket and fell out.
As far as Emmerich's movies go... :\ However, I DID like StarGate. I really did! That's the only one that really interested me. Another reason I don't have any interest in this one, is because when it comes to disaster/action movies with no real plot (So that means things like Terminator 2/Inglorious Basterds/Etc. are forgiven since they all had plots and whatnot) I can only take 1 hour and 50 minutes maximum. If it exceeds that, I become emo and try to commit suicide in the theater of total boredom and I've heard this one is a full 2 and a half hours. Barf. Transformers 2 nearly murdered me by having that length and I'm still in trauma, I'm amazed I made it out of the 2 month boredom coma, so I doubt I could handle sitting through 2012.
