well, last night i got Borderlands and overnight i downloaded it, this morning i tried turning it on and i got the message that its "encountered a problem" so, i get something saying "finename not found" so i verified my game cache, when that finished i ran it again and got the same message (picture below) my question to you guys is where do i go from here? other then verifying my game cache im not sure what to do to get it running...thanks for the help :)

The nvtt.dll file is an Nvidia Graphics control Dynamic Link Library. Unfortunately, unless you can find an exact replacement for this file (such as nvidia control software/drivers) you will have to follow Doomcat's advice and re-install.

Best of luck!

Yes Doomcat, follow your own advice!

Please pardon my stupidity! Advice credit goes to Thereven.

My apologies.

lol thanks for helping to the both of you (mostly Thereven) i did'nt wanna try a reinstall because of the incredibly long time it takes it to download the game :/ lol i'm writeing this now just to pass a little time, anyway thanks to you Thereven and Angellas, if i have another problem (like the same one) i'll try to ask again if theres something wrong with my computer

okay, i did a full reinstall uninstalling all the files and redownloading it off Steam, it still wont run :/ same exact problem

What OS are you running? If it's Vista or 7, most likely the file is unreadable due to permissions settings.

If you're unfamiliar with permissions settings and feel like this may be the issue, let me know.
