I just recently installed windows 7 on a laptop of mine upgrading it from vista. however when I checked Device Manager to see if everything installed properly my graphics card showed a little triangle symbol with an exclamtion mark over it.
I clicked it and it said the device was disabled code 10 ? I tried upgrading downloading and reinstalling the card to no avail im about to freak! I have dual ATI 3870 graphics cards only the 2nd one is not working saying disabled due to code 10 whatever the hell that means! I need some help :(

If you are using the software from ATI known as CCC or Catalyst Control Center, there is a known issue with Windows 7. I suggest uninstalling the ATI drivers and the entire CCC suite, then installing the driver-only packages.

The driver only packages are available at this url.

Best of luck to you! Let me know how it works out!

What model laptop are you using? That will help me identify your chipset and other information I'd need. (If it's a quasi-custom laptop, i.e. AlienWare, then full specs are needed.)

I will be happy to look deeper into your problem, as well as remote in to your machine to take a peek if necessary. Sorry that my original solution wasn't helpful to you.
