I was wondering.....any hardcore EVGA lovers out there?
Due to an OVERWHELMING number of EVGA motherboards and graphics cards that I have seen recently, I have stopped ALL sales/support for their line of equipment.
After a recent Online Support Session dealing with an EVGA motherboard, I started taking a look around the repair-bench. Seems that over 20% of the 'dead' boards that hit my bench in the last month are made by EVGA.
The last time I had such a high percentage of computer manufacture stupidity was with Hewlett Packard's DV6000 series and DV9000 series of laptop. Even this month I have 6 HP laptops on my bench for motherboard replacement. Speaks poorly of the quality, don't you agree?
I do, however, have to give a bit of leeway to the EVGA line of graphics cards. I have only had 17 cards by EVGA hit my bench for core repair (lifetime count). I'd also say that 80+% of those cards were overclocked or used in a cooperative-processing configuration (SLI/Crossfire/etc.). Not an alarming number, but with the growing number of gamers out there I believe it will only get worse.
Have any of you had trouble with your EVGA equipment?
Any hardcore fans out there that'd like to take a crack at turning me back to EVGA?
Looking for your thoughts! As it stands, I will not be offering any support to EVGA users other than direct replacements at my shop. I hate to do this as it may hurt my business income, but it's hard to fix the hopeless.
