Hello, I have been wanting to play one of my games, but there seems to be a whole bunch of white spots on it, which makes it un-readable. I've tried toothpaste, glass cleaner, anti-reflective glass cleaner, scrubbing it, and almost everything. Any ideas how to fix it?

It's called disk rot.

I've never come across a way to fix it. Google it...

Dragon's correct.....it's a disease, and it's terminal. When you 'rot' away the physical layer that information is 'burned' into....it's hosed.

Most game publishers will send you a replacement and/or allow you to download a new copy. Just provide key and proof of ownership (i.e. Old Disc).

Ah, okay. I googled it and no answers. And we lost the reciept (sp?) And I forgot where we got it.. So I'm not sure. And thanks BTW.

What's the software? Some shops carry copies of old software. ;) You'd still have to provide me with a key for proof.
