Steam Game Resolution

Hey all, I've been having a really weird problem where every time I exit out of a Steam game it changes the resolution on my screen. Now, it's not completely random. I do know that the resolution it's changed to is what the game was using, but it's rather inconvenient to have to change my resolution back after every game session I have.

I run Windows at 1280x800 and most games at 1024x768.

Also, I know it's only steam games because I played W@W and didn't have that problem. Any ideas, suggestions?

Windows what? If it's anything other than XP, I'd start snooping around permissions.

Windows Vista 64-bit. It's still happening. Rather confusing really.

Where would these "permissions" be located at? I personally don't know where anything is anymore. I got too used to 98 XD.
