WM+1ers make me look bad

Lately on blackmesa there have been a lot more wm1 pyros around, I play mostly pyro and I don't wm1, which isn't that common for pyro players. Wm1ers just rush right in with their back burners and flare guns not caring who gets hurt, and ram right into everyone, even if there isn't anything there. In spawn there was a pyro doing it. Sure there are a few others who don't do it. But seriously. the 95% of pyro's are making the 5% look bad. This may happen with other classes too (fan users, huntsman, etc.) but really, the only pyro update weapon you should use is the axetinguisher. use an airblast, shot gun someone. Think before you burn. Let go of W for once.
 
Good reminder, Noise, even though I fear some people may not consider it. Everyone has the right to do with the Flamethrower as they wish, I guess. :P
 
W+M1 Pyros scare me, they're like animals infected with rabies.

A W+M1 is someone who just runs forward (default key W) with their primary weapon firing (default M1). Typically used to describe Pyros who blindly rush their enemies, but I'd argue any class can do that.

As for Noise's post, meh. In all honesty, people play how they play. Instead of telling others how to play or what the right way to play X class is, I'd suggest you simply prove you're a flippin' awesome Pyro :)

Oh...agh this better not turn into one of those 'I play this class better than person X' or 'This is how you play this class, if not yer wrong' posts. I agree that those pyros are funny and predictable, however they might be new to the game, so I give them the benefit of a doubt.

I just say this: play a class, find your style, and move on, and have fun.
 
I use the W+M1 pyros to my advantage. Blend in and act just like them. Poor unsuspecting soly thinks he can put a couple rockets into me and all of a sudden he's eating them. Seriously. The entire other team will either be easy kills for you because they don't treat pyros as a threat, or they will be wary of any pyro and play overly cautious.
 
I don't see why you would make such a big deal with that....too bad for them or good if they like doing it... Keep playing like you do if you're happy doing it...in the end...steve wins anyway...
 
The pyro was minor cheese before the new weapons, now they are major cheese.

Way to invent some kind of false video game morality. People should play however they see fit. Period.

I agree with Carmine, use the flaregun :) I've used it while jumpin off ledges at someone and then axetinguishered them after landing, I also have killed a heavy while I'm behind the boxes on the battlements of A and have no escape (10 health about, so water isn't an option), and have flaregunned him to death as he advanced on me from the other side of the battlements, yay minicrits :thumbup:
 
i love my back burner for wen i seek up behind peoples or circle of death is also fun agent slow heavy's :P
 
wow.. i rarely see W+M1s on BM... maybe i just don't notice them before their dead? they act similarly to other pyros so it's a bit hard to tell.
anyways, stupid or not it does give the pyro a bad name. As others have said it's stupid and just a game, but still W+M1 is used as a deragatory term for pyro players, sometimes ecen ones that airblast or shotgun.

oh, and if W+m1's are killing you a lot then they have to be doing something right, right?
whether it be good at ambushing or camping health kits if they're killing you then they are playing the game right (unless they hack):P
