System Building Problems

Hey, last night when I was building my new PC, I ran into a few problems. One is that my Cooler Master HAF 922 Case doesn't have any system warning speaker connectors, is this normal? And also, my Cooler Master V8 CPU cooler seems to have 1 screw that is too short, so I can't get the 4th bolt onto the backplate when I use a diagnol pattern. Can I just use it with three bolts?

First-off, NEVER use less than ALL of the screws for CPU heatsinks. YOU WILL BLOW YOUR CPU INTO TINY LITTLE PIECES. Sorry to yell, but I'm not kidding.

What I usually do when something like that happens is grab a nut and bolt out of my drawer. You can easily find a nut and bolt that will fit width-wise. To fix your bolt-length issue (ALWAYS happens to me, perfect width and TOO long!) run the nut up past the point you need to cut it off. Cut your bolt using hack-saw or cutters. Then run the nut back down the bolt (it will be hard, so grab pliers) to straighten the threads back out. Secure your CPU heatsink, and enjoy gaming!

Almost ALL motherboards now have what's called a piezo buzzer on the motherboard for error beeps. It's small, usually black, cylindrical device with a small hole at the top. (Some manufactures leave the acid-wash cover on it. You may see a white sticker and can safely remove it.) Hence, high-end cases expect that your motherboard will do the job for you.

Looks like this:

I hope this has been helpful to you! If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask!
