And they were all incredibly ugly and a ridiculous waste of money. They had the features of a $200 case, if that.

LOL! I'd have to agree. A lot of people thought they were so cool but when I first saw them...well, let's just say I don't want to see one again :P Put my eyes through enough trouble seeing them once :scared:

To be honest, I'd love to get that Corsair Obsidian 800D case. Although it's a little expensive, it looks AMAZING. Sleek, sturdy, practical.

Yes, it sure is beautiful, but the airflow potential is less than great. It's great for water cooling, but not so much for air cooling. Still a great case though.

nah i didn't think all of them looked ugly.....i liked the white stacker version which was like $400 and a couple other designs, some of them were ugly tho but not all of them...some looked pretty sick.
Ehhh the stacker i think could be one of the best cases, 4 fans on the side panel that covers the whole side?? epic airflow

The corsair isn't bad but i don't see wats so special about it, the quality might be there but its a bit bland for my taste and it doesn't seem to have the best airflow out there.
Its not an ugly case at all though, i wouldn't mind having one and the seperation of compartments is pretty cool with each one having its own fans. I just wouldn't spend that much money on it.

I think the best case is the Cooler Master HAF 932 for the money and performance. Epic airflow for a good price, only like $90 on newegg now. The looks are disuputable with each person having their own opinion, i like it though.
 
good lawd! i don't think i could ever justify to myself buying a case that expensive..seems the money would be better spent just buying upgrades and an air conditioner lol..unless i was stupidly rich and just wanted to waste money on stuff.. but dang.

pewpew, that case looks nice! (the cooler master) for me, i went with a plain black full tower..and yeah, this thread has totally been hijacked lol good luck on your build, torque!! :-D
 
Well with Black Friday I ordered a lot of parts. My case ended up costing me only $78 for the HAF 932, rebates and 10% Bing Cashback on all products is win!

My monitor and case arrived today. Both look amazing! 25.5" Asus is suprisingly big :). My Mobo, SSD, OCZ Freeze Thermal Compound, PSU, and Icy Dock 2.5" to 3.5" also arrived. So now I am really only waiting on the 5870 to stock up. I'll be going to Micro Center to get my i7 920 and will be ordering a Sony Optriac 24x Drive, Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB soon.
For my CPU cooler Ill be getting the Prolimatech Megahalem Rev B with a 120x38 mm 2500 RPM Hydro Bearing Panaflo fan.

Can't wait to build this PC!
 
that is an epic build. i could only image how big a 25.5" monitor is, my 22" seems huge!
 
If you guys want Ill take my case and monitor out of the box and post some pics :). As soon as the GFX Card I want is back in stock Ill be able to build this beast.
