Nah, its true. Some crafty folks managed to changed some files that allowed access to the dev console. The servers aren't really dedicated IIRC, just modified.

But yes technically it was hacks. The guy hacked into the call of duty developer console and made himself a dedicated server. Then with the console, he was able to do everything you see, super jump, unlimited nades, SUPER EXP, AC130 thing, all of it....and it was all ranked so ppl prestiged in like 5 games or something

Well since gamestop and other stores will not take opened PC games anymore the makers of these games have nothing to fear you buy the game, if they suck and don't want dedi servers you can't return it. Its guaranteed profit. Which i think is wrong if i had it my way i'd return OFPDR and MW2 and tell the company's to well you know. But can't do that.
