If ur going with a Core 2 Quad...if they have a like Q9550, get that its much faster......get a better mobo, atleast P45 and up, a better graphics card would be recommended.....ATI 5770 if ur budget and 5850/5870 if u want higher end

i dont use ATI srry nvidia only. and thats all the money i have to spend on a new desktop, its faster then my current 1, and my graphics card is 2 as good as my current 1. :(

Heres a GTS 250 deal if u wanna pounce on it, best deal i've found so far.......it went up $5 in price though from yesterday and black friday so it was $70 but now its $75, still a good deal though.

You can SLI GTS 250 :) guessing u dont have any money left to spend but its an option

i wish i had the money xmas, and GF, bad combo lol, maybe after xmas lol.

If you set on getting a GTS 250, at least get one with 1 GB of VRam if possible, it will make a big difference in performance.

I'd personally go with a AMD system myself mostly because all there stuff (CPU's and mobo's) are usually cheaper then Intel CPU's and mobo's and are similarly on par with Intel. Which will leave you with more money to upgrade more stuff. For the new year im getting

2xAMD Phenom II Dual core's (102$ each)
1 ASUS AMD Micro ATX motherboard (wifes computer)
1 Asus AMD ATX motherboard (mine)
4x 2 GIG strips of DDR3 1600 Ram (8 gigs total 4 gigs for each computer)
1x 700Watt PSU (wifes computer)
2x 1Terabyte Hard drives.

801$ is how much that cost each mobo has built in GPU's and once i sell my old computer parts im going to buy a GTX 260 or 285 haven't decided yet.

But im also not buying a case or new PSU for my computer since i have a PSU with a 52amp 12volt rail and its 750 watts so im set there. that saves money too if you can recycle parts i'd do it.
