Your favorite weapon

Yes yes, the title explains the whole point of the thread. If you could have any 1 weapon, what would it be, why would you want it, and what age period would it be in.

I would choose a Crimson Longsword because it is a powerful and long sword that chops head off like a butcher at a steak house. its very deadly. I would use this weapon at about...1200 A.D. This is about the time the great armies were being formed like persians and england. it would be VERY helpful.

So whats your favorite weapon and period? (try to stay away from too many weapons like artillery guns and m16's)

Haha, thanks. I find it to be a good gun for small game hunting. Granted, I'm sure you could take down a larger animal with it, but I can't say I've tried.
