Hello everyone,
Just wanted to tell that mass population of people we have here that I am going to Afghanistan soon. I requested a deployment 2 months ago for a 6 month to a 1 year deployment in the hot zone. I will be going to an air base over there to support air operations, so that they can support ground troops, so that ground troops can do their job. I am in the mix with everyone else. Every marine is a rifle man. I have to do my duties over there and I will return.
My date for leaving is not set. Although, they have given me the months on which I am to deploy; Janurary or Feburary. I hope that its late in Feburary so my mom can see me on my birthday but I have no choice in the matter.
