EA Officially Announces New, Modern-Day Medal Of Honor [IGN]

Looks like it will be great. That is the second must have game for me of 2010, Bad Company 2 and now this. Time to start pricing video cards. :)

Lovely, this means that the painfully cheap AI snipers will be back, the useless allies who you have to Babysit, and they will try and carbon copy Call of Duty Modern warfare.

Sorry if I'm a little jaded, but I stopped playing Medal of Honor at Frontline.

i think you might have it a bit mixed up there buddy. Medal of honor was around before call of duty. if anyone copied someone, CoD copied MoH.

Looking forward to it coming out, Medal of Honor always has the best soundtrack, and it's always been fun. I'm tempted to try and load MOHAA back up and play it for awhile.

For it's time, the AI and graphics were top notch..

If you look at it They made this to do it like MW,So they copied MW2 but they were here b4 CoD

Anyone else getting tired of historic/modern FPS? I would rather see a fictional storyline instead of the ones devs are working on now.

I just want a Vietnam war game (besides BF:Vietnam war)

But the New MoH looks fun. And its Been 10 years since the first MoH I feel old

This new MoH franchise it looks like they are copying the CoD:MW premise. Ironic because the team that started CoD were the original MoH developers who didn't like the game play requirements they were being forced into by EA.

i've never played any of the MoH games, but this sounds interesting. i wonder if it would be as successful as MW2.

according to a lot of the posts i've read, the music for MoH is good, maybe i'll try out a few of the older games, any suggestions?

also, you guys seem excited about DICE doing the multiplayer, what does this mean exactly? *curious face*

Out of my Gamecube ones (Frontline, Rising Sun, and European Assault), Euro Assault was probably the best overall but I liked Rising Sun more because I liked the environments and the multiplayer (it's the only one that allows you to have 8 players, up to 4 humans with as many bots as you like. 8 players on a Gamecube game is darn good, even with some being bots.)

You could also say Call of Duty 4 copied Battlefield 2 (and/or Bad Company), also made by EA.

Just because they're made in the same 'modern day' style, doesn't mean they're copying anyone.

i dont think very much time and effort went into that series compared to MoH

just my opinion from gameplay experience.

I think a lot of people would disagree with you here (considering the massive fan-base behind the Battlefield games). I've been playing them since '02, and enjoy them immensely.

The only thing EA does well is mess up games and put to many restrictions on the people who create them. SO i'm sure EA will screw this up some how. Only for the expansions though.

He said the time and effort, which I agree with.

MoH has always had more detailed maps, storylines, weapon sounds, etc.

You have to remember that the BF series are strictly Multiplayer games, so storyline doesn't even apply here.

You are right about weapon sounds (comparing MoH Airborne to older BF games), though. But then again, unlike the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty games, DICE wasn't aiming for total realism and immersion with the BF series - but the sound effects on Battlefield 2 are excellent nonetheless.
