Saw all these "Favorite way to kill" and "Favorite gun" threads and decided to go another route.

What annoys you the most when you're playing? I'm not just talking about in-game, but stuff from outside of the game too. For instance your roommate throwing stuff at you when you're playing or your mom nagging at you or your dog crapping on the carpet.

Here are some of the things that annoy the Skippy:
  • Running half-way across the map only to abruptly get killed by a stray grenade or enemy that just rounded a corner. Twice in a row.
  • Nubs lecturing your team like they know the map inside out and telling your team to do something or go somewhere that you know is actually detrimental for the team.
  • Teammates with low situational awareness, resulting in your death or your team's loss. Doesn't anyone look at their mini-maps these days?
  • Killing 1 or 2 guys in a slick close-quarters firefight, reloading when I still have a 3/4 mag left, only to have another enemy round the corner and shoot you to bits while you fumble with your magazines and bullets.
  • Dying the 2nd second after the round goes live on Realism Night. To friendly fire. This didn't happen to me but I feel Stormy's pain.
  • Skippy deciding he needs to go potty when I'm behind enemy lines and deathcam just revealed my position.
  • The glare on my monitor from the afternoon sun.
  • Two guys using teamspeak to chat about how it's cool they live 50 miles apart in Ohio when I urgently need to tell my team that 4 bogies are flanking our final flag.
  • Dropping ammo or turning on my flashlight when I'm actually desperately trying to hit 'G' to throw away my gun and pick up another. And then getting killed shortly after because of it.
  • My left pinky hitting that stupid little Windows button on the bottom left corner of the keyboard just as I stalk out into the open.
  • Shell shock from my teammates' nades when I'm just about to strafe/rocket snipe.
  • When I only inflict 90-dmg with my K98 or sniper-rifles and then die because of it.
  • Sprinting through partial smoke thinking no one sees me only to mysteriously get 'stuck'...look down and there's an enemy soldier prone there blocking my way. As I begin to shoot his buttocks he blows my legs away.
  • Teammates giving my awesome camping positions away by hiding next to me and firing their guns off.
  • Getting killed while I'm reloading in a corner thinking that my teammate has me covered. I'm talking about him not even getting a shot off.

Boy that's a longer list than I anticipated having. And I'm probably forgetting about a lot too. Guess I must be in a whiny mood. Anyone else care to share? The angst!

I remember that, my first thought was "Jesus, how did they get here so fast!?" Then I saw he was TKed. Glorious times.

Thing that annoys me the most: Thinking Im safe on Flash when ChocolateVillian comes around the corner with his damn spade.

My most annoying part is being killed by a sniper when you run across the street and when you reach a house, you get killed...

Made my day... I don't have 6 Shovel God awards for nothing :P

Worst thing for me is running running out from cover only to get hit by a guy with a thompson spraying the gun like crazy in the head from about 100yrds out.... BY ONE FREAKING BULLET...
Just thinking of it makes me mad -_\\

I can go on all day but some of the most uncommon and frustrating ways i die are:

1. Cooking a nade and then thinking i threw it when i see a shinny MG42 on the ground and i end up picking up my own nade instead. (it sounds rare but i do it at leats once a week)

2. Cooking a nade when a spike of megalag hits and i lose count and blow myself up.

1) People who join with 500+ ping, it's one thing to be from Europe, another from Mars. I play rifle almost exclusively and you just can't kill a lagger like that.
2) Teammates that run around following you, punching you, and shining their flashlight on you, or throwing smoke at you. Sounds like it never happens? If only.
3) Priming a nade then picking up a gun lying around and suiciding
4) Mgs with like 700 pts that take 25 pts after you kill 5 people for 15
5) snipers that don't snipe...at least not useful places like where enemy snipers and mgs are.
6) Fail mgs... you count on them to hold a point or defend you
7) Lucky spray and prays
8) 83/90 damage (sometimes even worse like 99 with a k98 yesterday)
9) People who constantly talk in the mic
10) Rage quitters, or worse, team changers after a lost. A traitor becomes my special project.

Those are my top 10, in no real order, except #1

Though I curse quite often playing, it's still a good time :)

The glare on my monitor from the afternoon sun. (morning sun for me)

Those are some good ones LOL

yeah im gonna have to say thompson sniping makes me grouchy im sorry it is not THAT ACCURATE

Well actually, last night in Donner, it was when I was sniping another sniper. We both get the shot off, he kills me, his face is full of blood and a hole in the forehead, but he doesn't have 1 health point removed because the game code decided his bullet hit me first and you can't possibly have two deaths simultaneously, unless one is a rocket.

This may sound odd, but it's overly serious players. You know the ones that act like its real. Just a game I'm there to have fun and hang with my bubbies. True I like to win but not so much that I get angry. Relax have fun joke with your buds and play the game . After all didn't most of you buy it to have fun? Like I said probably an odd statment but there it is .

1) being punched in the face by a team mate in spawn because he thinks that it is his job to assault the afk's more than the enemy (happens often when i have a phone call)
2) goin through the sewers to get mowed down by a mg that none of the 5 team mates down there with me bothered to say anything about...i can understand if you are dead...but if you are too scared to deal with it and are hiding around the corner from it...at least throw up a warning...cmon ppl...its called common courtesy/sense..
3) CAMPERS...i find that the game would be 100 fold more enjoyable if it werent for the campers (with the exception of snipers and mgs) this includes ppl who camp in the wh by the wheel on kalt or beside the bridge hoping to get a few easy kills...bothers me when ppl are too scared to come into the sewers to get their kills
4) being dominated by a camper who as no skill other than camping well...

this was a good idea...i feel much better after gettin that off of my chest

Priming a nade, turn the corner to look for a target to throw it at, see no one, keep looking, wait too long ... BOom suicide.

Not odd at all Fox, I agree, I play vid games and golf for fun, no matter how badly I do, if I have fun and relieve some stress, I am happy.
