mic port not working

I believe my mic connection is broken. my mic works fine on other computers. I have all the settings correct i just think it is the computer port that i plug it into. it use to work. does anybody know how or where i can get a new one?

It might be easier (And cheaper) Just to buy a new mic. Possibly a USB. I assume your talking about the 3.5mm Mic port.

You could easily get a cheap USB mic for about 20$. Maybe less if you really look around.

As for repairing the port, I've never seen someone actually do it. I think (Tell me if Im wrong) that to replace it, You'd have to buy a new Sound card. Which can get costly.

yeah the 3.5mm port. I was just wondering about the port. I thought of getting a usb mic. Do you know if there is an adapter that you can get from usb to 3.5mm mic port? i have a new head set that cost a good amount of money so i dont want to get a new one of i dont have to.

Seems like your better off getting a new mic. 50$ for that. Ugh. Though, From those reviews, Seems like it works. Your choice really.

Logitech has a USB mic. This is a good piece of hardware for 20- 30 bucks.
