Just pisked some stuff, tell me what you all think....

hhmm sounds like its gonna be the best but
take a year to make...

I got one thing to say sticky : DAMMMNN maybie get a faster processor 2.66 won't do ya good for pro games, and what's the gfx 1GB DDR5 OR DDR3??

Personally, that processor will do amazing on any games. The only thing I am curious about is the power supply. With SLI gtx 240's I am wondering if 700 will be enough. Check to see what power supplys is the min on one of the 240's It normally will say like 400 min 500+ prefered. Double whatever that says and that is what you need.

Looks like an amazing rig :) Merry Chirstmas.

he can OC that cpu to an easy 3.5 ghz+, probs get up to like 4.2-4.4 with liquid cooling.
but like most prebuilt setups its lacking in the GPU section, 240 isn't a great card and you'll probably look to upgrade in the future. its your main gaming component, so it isn't to be lacking.

edit: i see now that its 2x 240s in SLI, much better...should do great then good build

editedit: ok what? everywhere im looking is saying the 240 cannot SLI, it doesn't have an SLI bridge...did they change it in more recent releases or did you just order 2x 240 for no reason?

If they have the ATI 5770 for the graphics card. Get 2 of those instead. They will be more future proof and are just as fast/faster than a 5870. Much better than those 2 GT 240 also.

So get 2xATI 5770 instead of 2xNvidia GT 240. You will only end up paying like $100 more i think in total. The mobo will support both crossfire/SLI so no need to worry about that, you can leave everything else the same just i recommend getting 2x5770 instead. Support DX11 when it comes out and they are much much faster.

GT 240 is like a dumbed down GTS 250 i think, or its some slower Nvidia GPU rebranded im pretty sure. That or its just an OEM card. Some of the Nvidia cards don't need an SLI bridge and do it automatically so yea its weird but im not sure about the GT 240. Anyway, i recommended that he get 2x5770 instead because they aren't much more expensive and are definitely worth the extra price tag.

Yeah, I don't know about the GT 240s. If you can't find one of the newer ATI cards, just get a single GTX 260/275/280 im pretty sure they might out preform 2x 240s. Not sure 240s are even gaming cards.

well i called up cyberpower and got rid of the 2 240's and got 2 250's and changed the power supply to 1100watts , thanks for the info guys

the 240 are not sli able, but the 250 are...

Does your wife have any sisters ? lol ... j/k . All looks great, just looked over it real quick. Besides the vid cards. Good start switching from the 240's to the 250's, but really i would have gone crossfire 5850's or even SLI GTX 260's . I do believe the GTS250's are like rebranded 9800's if im not mistaken, someone please correct me if im wrong. I know they are not identical, but very very similar .

You are a lucky man, and MERRY CHRISTMAS !

still those sli 250s should work for you for everything. you may not be able to have EVERY game maxed out with all the eye candy like AA/AF HDR etc whatever but you'll be more than happy for awhile.

sticky, almost forgot... Check the reviews on that Killer Xeno Pro NIC , its performance does look lacking compared to on-board. I in no way mean to rag ur setup , it looks awesome dude. Just a few suggestions... You want something really really speedy, and i have said something before about this and got some somewhat rude responses about it, take a look at an Intel 80gb SSD G2 . That will make a huge huge increase in system performance allthe way around. Me n my bro have identical machines besides my ASUS xonar sound card, Intel SSD, and a higher overclock. I must say, everything and i mean everything loads wayyyyyyyyy faster. Games such as MW2 load insanely fast. His machine will be at 25 % when mine is finished.

Just some suggestions to look into , otherwise your board got excellent reviews, i7 of course, RAM, you look good bro.

250's will deff do the job, no doubt about it Junk. Just checked out newegg, What the *** ! the 250's are as low as $110 , and for whatever reason, the 260's went up in price like crazy from about 150 to 190. I dont get it, ATI releases cards that dwarf Nvidias, so nvidia jacks the prices up? Stick with your pair of 250's , or move to the 5850 . That one is $309, when they come down, grab another and your unstoppable.

I was ready to get another 260 just for MW2 if it didnt play how i wanted it. I get avg 100fps, when it gets really heavy it'll bog down to 50-60 and get as high as 170.

You really need to experience the Intel SSD for a a few weeks, then use another computer minus the SSD to appreciate its greatness .

yes SSD is epic......but it doesn't help in FPS lol, just load times and boot up times are epic.

Idk, there no point in investing old technology that is why i say either 2x5770 or one 5850 and then add another 5850 in the future. A GTS 250 is a rebranded 9800gtx and theres no point in buying a card that already outdated by ATI cards.......2x5770 > or = 5870 and 5850 > GTX 285

Best would be get 5850 + another in future but if on budget get 2x5770

remember my wife purchased this, i didnt want to kill her pockets, and i can always replace them later on for better cards, but i think it will do for now....better then what i got...

an HP with a 9800GT (came with it)

i can always mix and match what i like and dislike later, stuff like that, but this is prolly my first real gaming rig.....so you know, ill have to see..

Hope you like your new rig, I understand you don't want to drain money, but i have to agree with pewpew that 5770 is far better...
