WARNING to All

The story goes: some guy with no eGO tags was blatently hacking a server Mil was on. Mil took the info and ran it through the database. It matched one of our members. When brought to his attention, Garden banned him from the community, steam banned him from all VAC servers.

Yah It's good they got rid of a hacker, but If he was VAC banned by steam, would'nt he have to rejoin the clan under a new steam account? Or claim his account was hi-jacked, etc..

He could but the forums log his ip when he logs in and if he posts with the same ip its him. And really hacking isn't worth it, you get one game to act big and look good and then you get banned. And then everyone see you as a cheater and liar. Well to him i say good luck trying to find a clan that accepts that.

Actually the story goes like this.

I was playing MW2 with Johnny Blaze, and a player by the name of Teamo (I'll get to the association in a bit) cme into the game and started hacking up a storm, 72 and 4, every kill a headshot. Hackers in MW2 are an annoyance tht eventually get dealt with by VAC after a few days, but I take matters into my own hands. I don't leave the game, I stay and play with the hacker, when I get on his team, I just team kill him til he leaves. Its much more fun than leaving the game. Anyways, when the map ended, the host left the game, and it failed to find a new suitable host, so everyone was forced back to the lobby. I decided to look up his steam page to see if I could find him.. I really wanted to team kill him lol. I went to his steam profile and saw that he was in the eGO general and TF2 steam groups. This made me angry, as I hate hackers, but I hate hackers who are eGO members even more. I could not find any info for Teamo on our website, so I copied the url out of my steam overlay and dropped it into my browser. Doing so changed the 16 digit ( I think its 16 digits) profile link to the name FoXsTa, it also said VAC Status: In Good Standing. I looked again through the member database, and BAM there he was. I was about ready to rip into him, I added him to my steam friends, but then he went offline, so I went to bed. In the morning I logged in to see if he was online, checked his steam profile and the VAC status had changed to Ban(s) on Record. It was just a simple matter of contacting a Council member and having him banned from the forums, which happened to be GardenGrove.

I hate hackers. If I catch you, you will be banned, doesn't matter if its one of our supported games or not.

Hope that this clears up a few things.

~Mil.
